Sofia Moura dos Santos is the founder of Col\u00e9gio Catarina de Bragan\u00e7a, where she has worked for 22 years in general management roles and as the Nursery\u00b4s technical director. The school was a result of her deep commitment to Education and the vision of competent children, capable of actively exploring and knowing the world around them. An expert in involved pedagogies, she dedicated her career to harmonising children’s purposes with the educational intentions of educators and teachers. She believes that the school should be a place where all children feel happy, fulfilled and integrated, in a democratic, inclusive and humanising environment. This purpose can only be achieved through collaborative work with the entire educational community, involving teachers, non-teaching staff and family members, in a joint construction based on respect and empathy. Before founding the school, she gathered vast experience in different areas. She worked as a Market Research Assistant at the advertising and communications agency Ogilvy & Mather Portugal and as a Marketing and Human Resources Director at the publishing house \u201c\u00c1rea Associativa \u2013 Comunica\u00e7\u00e3o e Servi\u00e7os, Lda\u201d. As part of her training and education, she began her career in the area of \u200b\u200b”Complaints Service and Management” at the Instituto T\u00e9cnico de Educa\u00e7\u00e3o and coordinated the Professional Course for “Security Operators”, in partnership with the JI D Elementary\/Integrated Education School. Carlos I and the Ministry of Internal Administration. Sofia Moura dos Santos has a degree in Social Psychology from the \u201cFaculdade de Psychologia e Ci\u00eancias Educativas na Universidade de Lisboa\u201d has several training courses and projects in the area of \u200b\u200binvolved pedagogies, consolidating her vision of transformative and innovative education.
